Cleft Lip | Palate Surgery

30 Years of Brighter Smiles!

More than 4,000 babies are born with cleft lip/palate every year in the Philippines.

1What is Cleft?
A cleft is a gap in the lip and/or palate (roof of mouth) that happens in the early months of pregnancy.
2How does it affect children?
Left untreated, the baby will have severe difficulties breathing and eating. He or she will also experience more colds and ear infections. The child will have difficulty speaking and being understood.
3What can I do to help?
  • We partner with Smile Train to facilitate surgeries for our cleft patients. Your donation will allow us to expand our screening efforts for children with cleft to more remote places in underserved areas
  • Your donation will allow us to provide pre and post- op cleft care including housing, medicine, and special food.
